Adding YouTube Videos to a Finalweb 2.0 Site

Issue:

How do I integrate on-demand videos into my Finalweb 2.0 site?

Resolution:

Probably the best way to do this is to upload the videos to YouTube, and then integrate your videos into your website.  The process is quick, and has several advantages.  Since YouTube automatically converts videos into multiple bit-rate formats, the videos will be viewable by anyone regardless of their device type or internet speeds.  Also, having an active YouTube library can improve your website's search engine optimization.

To add YouTube videos to a library:
  1. Create a YouTube channel (they are free) and upload a video there.  Then, view the video and copy the address from the address bar.
  2. Login to your website.
  3. On the page where you'd like to add the library, click "Add Group."  Choose "Media" and then "Media Library."  Create a new library, save the library, then select it and choose "Save" to save the group to your page.
  4. Hover over the new media library on your page and you will see a pencil in the upper right.  Click this to "Edit media library."
  5. Click "Add File."
  6. For "File Location" choose "YouTube."  Then, paste the address to your YouTube video and save.
That will present the video as if it were part of your website, in your media library.

To add an individual YouTube video to a page:
  1. Login to your website.
  2. Click "Add Group," then "Empty Groups" and then "Standard."
  3. In the new group click "Add Section" and choose "Video."
  4. For Video Type choose "YouTube" and paste the YouTube video address, and save.
